Durham Dance Wave

A freeform conscious dance experience

Experience authentic self-expression in a safe space free of judgment & instruction. This weekly ecstatic dance event offers an opportunity to explore delicious states of being from stillness to unfettered wildness through self-directed freeform movement in community.

We dance every Monday evening from 7:30-9pm at Shared Visions Retreat Center, 2,500 square feet of open space in the newly renovated Murphey School building in southwest Durham. We dance every Friday evening from 7:30-9pm and every Sunday morning from 11:00am - 1:00pm at The Living Arts Collective in downtown Durham. The 90 minute practice takes us on a movement journey with musical texture and form.

Suggested donation: $7-$10.
